Why This Matters Now

## Why this matters

From **18 February 2027**, the EU Battery Regulation (EU) 2023/1542 makes the digital battery passport mandatory. Every EV battery, LMT battery and industrial battery above 2 kWh placed on the EU market will need a unique identifier and a QR code linked to its own passport, for its whole life.

The deadline is fixed, and the real work isn't the QR code. It's the data behind it.

## What we will cover

- **Scope and obligations:** which batteries are covered and which economic operator carries the duty - **The data behind the QR code:** carbon footprint, recycled content, due diligence, performance and durability - **Access tiers and architecture:** who can see what, unique identifiers and interoperability - **Your readiness roadmap:** from gap analysis to a live passport

The session ends with a live Q&A.

*Presented by KaM Auto and Kiwa.*
